A very small Village located 15 minutes from Punta Mita, along the northern part of Banderas Bay. The main attraction is the Gallery of Huichol Art. The Gallery supports the Huichol Indians, so their work may be exhibited and sold. You will marvel at the artistic items the Indians create. There are incredibly intricate, handmade murals down to jewelry, you will be amazed at! And the art is quite affordable. Their tee shirts are very popular also because of the beautiful designs.
La Cruz offers the tranquility of a typical Mexican village, where you may enjoy the rustic daily life of people living without being in a hurry. The village stands out due to its exuberant vegetation surrounding it, as well as for its cobble stone streets. And now with the new Marina (380 slips) and an actual Yacht Club, the Village is getting busier as a destination for the ‘die hard’ fisherman…. but it is still a shorter ride from Punta Mita to the Outter Banks & the Marietas Islands!
