A beach in Sayulita Mexico

Sayulita Mexico is approximately 20 minutes north from Punta de Mita  Mexico vacation rentals is one of the most popular villages north of Banderas Bay. During the whole year the tourist activity is constant and its beaches are visited by various types of tourism, of which the lovers of surfing stand out. Internationally recognized as a major surfing destination, each year in December the “Sayulita Surf Classic” is celebrated. The restaurants on the beach specialize in, freshly caught daily, seafood dishes. The activity is continuous, to such a degree that it seems as if in this village in all its corners everybody always has something to do. The main square is a center of street commerce and a meeting point.

Having all services available, Sayulita still offers the rural atmosphere of a fishing village where you can listen to the song of the rooster every morning, no matter where you are, accompanied by the braying of a donkey, both announcing that the hour has come to go back to work.
Also the marine fauna is abundant in this village and you may practice sport fishing. The catch of a Dorado or Bonita is certain and of course the possibility of catching a Sailfish or a Marlin is also something to be considered.

A cybercafe is located in the front of the plaza facing the church. Hourly rates are about $4 and hour. The closest ATM is in Bucerias. For a bank–including changing foreign currency–you need to go to Mezcales, Puerto Vallarta or La Penita. The liquor store and Paleteria will change your money for slightly higher rates.

Come prepared for mosquitoes. There aren’t tons, but they seem to like tourists. If you need medicine or advice, visit the pharmacy, which is run by a doctor. There is a hospital in neighboring San Francisco for emergencies.
